Sustainability

A huge accomplishment of 2021 was the process to obtain the Great Place to Work certification. Although we had taken the first steps a few years ago, thanks to the actions we implemented within our organizational culture, along with the purpose and values of B×+, as a team we achieved it.

At Grupo Financiero B×+, being recognized as a Great Place to Work is the beginning of a new chapter that will be defined by never settling and always seeking to reach further, on a path towards constant excellence, renewing the commitment with our employees to ensure the best working conditions; with our shareholders to improve efficiency levels and with our clients to provide the highest standards of quality and service.

On this second year of the pandemic, the Business Continuity Operating Committee maintained its two core aspirations: preserve the health and integrity of all B×+ employees and provide all the necessary tools so that the teams could perform optimally their functions; both have been fully met.

During 2021, we remained with remote work schedules and depending on the behavior of COVID-19, we made decisions return with supervision to our facilities, without exceeding a 50% capacity, which allowed for sanitary conditions within safe workspaces.

Another fundamental detail to fulfill our purpose was to enhance the entire team’s skills and abilities. During the year, we provided more than 45,000 training hours, focused on strengthening our commercial area in service issues, online business and objection management, in addition to legal and regulatory issues such as: Risks, Business Continuity, Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, Personal Data Privacy Treatment and those granted by the Mexican Association of Securities Intermediaries (AMIB, for its initials in Spanish), among others.

The Emotional Awareness and Management Program must receive a special mention; this strategy was developed to provide spaces for emotional growth for our employees and their families, allowing them to improve their mental health and quality of life.

During 2021, we particularly promoted the dissemination of a financial culture in Mexico; therefore, we renewed this section on our website with a new image with more and better content. We reinforced our participation in academic fairs with different higher education institutions in the country, as well as with programs such as Youth Building the Future and several specialized forums to disseminate financial education issues, mainly for young people. This year, we tripled our presence at the National Financial Education Week, which is organized every year by the Association of Banks of Mexico and the CONDUSEF (National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users, for its initials in Spanish) with conferences for different audiences.

We were very proud to obtain the recognition from Expansión Magazine as one of the 500 companies against corruption, which since the beginning of Grupo Financiero B×+ has been part of the organization’s DNA, included in our bylaws and corporate governance best practices.

Throughout 2021, we continued the activities that we have been preparing in the past years in terms of sustainability, which involve topics such as planning for the committee responsible for carrying out the work, roadmap and materiality analysis. Through these initiatives, we aim to, initially, sign the Banking Sustainability Protocol, chaired by the ABM, and subsequently adhere to the Principles of Responsible Banking promoted by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).

For Grupo Financiero B×+ it was an honor to participate as a sponsor of the CDI-B×+ Cup, organized by the Israeli Sports Center in which international talents, from different tennis categories, faced each other to achieve this precious recognition.

In 2021, we collaborated once again with the John Langdon Down Foundation, Kardias, A.C., Quiera Foundation and Bécalos, dedicating this year to promoting the development of children through the different programs that these institutions support.

In 2022, we will continue boosting an organizational culture that reinforces inclusion, gender equality and diversity, which strengthen our organization.
